Small pond evening fishing in Rangeley or in the Western Mountain areas
Meet up mid afternoon to travel to a small, remote pond to enjoy the evening hatch. Plan to stay until early evening when the magic of the hatch intensifies! Watch loons fishing on the same pond and perhaps see a moose come down to the water’s edge to drink. Spend the evening learning to identify the hatch, experiment with emergers and dry flies, and enjoy the thrill of the take! Enjoy a packed dinner while we await the magic of the evening hatch!

Evelyn King, a registered Maine guide, has had a passion for fishing and fly tying for most of her life! She and her husband, have a camp on a remote river in Rangeley, and have spent several years exploring the rivers and ponds in the Rangeley region. She also enjoys bonefishing in Bahamas, salmon fishing in Labrador and exploring fisheries around the U.S.
She is currently serving as the Vice President of the Sebago Chapter of Trout Unlimited and has taken it on as a challenge to encourage more women and children to enjoy fishing. She is also a volunteer for Casting For Recovery, a program organized to help women who have experienced breast cancer find a new passion in life and an exercise that assists in post breast cancer rehabilitation.

What should I bring?
Lunch, beverages and fishing equipment will be provided. Bring clothes for all weather possibilities since Maine weather can change on a dime! Hats, sunglasses, warm fleece and windshirt or raincoat will make the day more pleasant.
Evelyn is available for guiding in the Rangeley Region in western Maine, the playground for such notable women as Carrie Stevens and Fly Rod Crosby! She also offers outings in central and southern Maine to rivers or ponds, including the Androscoggin and Kennebec Rivers and their tributaries.
